Minto CASE

The construction of a three floor addition to the Minto CASE facility at Carleton University (approximately 3,600 sq.m.). The addition of academic space for Aerospace, Systems & Electronic Engineering, including classrooms, a 150 seat lecture theatre, computer laboratories (1,180 sq.m.), office space (240 sq.m.), and research space (750 sq.m.). As well, the project involved the review and recommendations for improvements to the provision of air conditioning to non air-conditioned spaces in the existing building. The project was complicated by the challenge of completing a vertical addition to a fully occupied facility. The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
