The first phase of a three-phase expansion of the Passenger Terminal Building was completed in the Fall of 2003. The other phases are presently scheduled to see the final phase completed in 2014. This is the largest and most complex construction project in the nation’s capital in 20 years. The new three-level passenger terminal is 600,000 square feet and links to the second level of the existing has 15 gates and a four-level parkade for 1,700 spaces.
